B.E.S.T. Reintegration
Project PROTECT is a gender specific program for pre-trial women at the Maui Community Correctional Center under the BEST (Being Empowered and Safe Together) Reintegration Program. The women are provided with case management services, classes and other transitional services tailored to their needs while they are in pre-trial status.
Program Population:
Pre-trial women, women preparing to return to the Maui community after incarceration, women who have been convicted of a felony, women serving at least six months in prison.
Program Capacity:
Any number of women that want to participate in the program can.
Program Funding Source:
Federal, state, and county funds.
